Yesterday our home was filled with Lakeland creatives that we have the utmost respect for. Shuffling decorative elements here and there, placing plants, making styling decisions. More than a dozen beautiful plants were brought in to quite literally bring life to our space, and we also had the good fortune to have extremely talented creative friends with incredible taste that allowed us to borrow items here and there to round out the proportions of our space. Some of what we borrowed included about ten lovely, handmade succulent terreriums made by our friend Elizabeth (*ahem you may or may not be seeing a ton of photos of her and her fiancé right here later on this week, just sayin’) These lovely little terrariums were places all around our living space, and every time I looked at them they made me smile.
Elizabeth was kind enough to leave behind a couple of her tiniest (cutest!) little succulents for me to love (and hopefully keep alive) as well as some cuttings from other succulents for me to transplant and start creating my very own terrariums! These little guys are currently on our kitchen counter on a damp paper towel waiting to be placed in a pretty vessel to grow!
true story: the first time I saw/held the teeny tiny terrarium in the little navy vessel on the left, I cried…cried!
Tears of cuteness I tell you ! …I’m so glad she belongs to me now!
Matt and I spent time enjoying our apartment after the shoot . We enjoyed all the corners of our space while we watched The Life Aquatic.
Confession: we may have watched The Life Aquatic twice yesterday. Maybe we love it, a lot…..don’t judge us.
Wish me luck with my new little plant friends…
