Project 365 (ish) soldiers on. As life is busy, and when it gets a bit slower….this project is always there. Something constant to put creative effort in to. Even more than that, it’s something to put creative effort into that is just for me.

But, I’m happy to share them with you too!  >

coral and peach on the beach //

Wednesday, June 5th, 2013

As I was packing my bags for our little beach getaway I started to notice a pattern. I selected a lot of pieces in the coral/pinky peach family ….all of which are perfect for sunset watching! Coral and peach on the beach it is!

I think these lovely ladies would approve >coral and peach_133

beach days //

Tuesday, June 4th, 2013

Matt and I spent the late part of last week at Indian Shores beach with my family. It’s amazing what just one or two days of down time can do for you. I always feel especially inspired when I make an effort to “take a time out” like that. We slept in, adventured and scavenged on the beach, I finished my book, enjoyed my morning coffee overlooking the ocean. We watched the sunset on the beach every evening, and sampled the local fare

…it was good, and we took way too many photos.I’ll prove it to ya!  >the beach_069

hello again, Lakelander

 Greetings from the beach!

Sorry bout that two day blogging absence, I have been soaking in everything the beach has to offer, and taking little photo adventures with Matt. It has been glorious, but I thought I would stop in and share with you a favorite beachside read! Okay, so our photos have been published in the newest issue of the Lakelander. It also happens to be a fantastic read! I love living in a town where this cool, free publication even exists. I’m even more excited that Penny & Finn get to be a part of it and work with such amazing creative people! A few snippets…

I had a bit of a derp moment as I was getting these photos together for this post….

Matt and I had taken the top two while on an evening beach excursion. We just took a photo of the cover and a snippet form the actual story that we provided photos for. I had completely forgotten that we are actually in this issue as well! We were blessed enough to be included in a “Secret Supper Club” for the “taste” section of the magazine. We had the opportunity to dine with some lovely local creatives, and enjoy the culinary magic of our friend, Logan (who writes a stellar foodie blog called Eat A Duck, you should really pop over and check it out)

We ate, we drank, we were merry…

PS  > that large table that we dined at?  It’s a Pine-Stock piece.

Oh Lakeland, what makes you so darn magical?

Elizabeth // Sean

Thursday, May 23rd, 2013

A few Saturdays ago we walked all over Lakeland with our recently engaged friends Elizabeth and Sean. We love getting to know people through the act of photographing them. It’s especially wonderful when we get to photograph those that we already do know. There’s an automatic ease and sense of adventure about it! Elizabeth and Sean are seriously stylish and all about outdoor spaces so we really wanted to keep it simple for their shoot. We didn’t feel the need to go very far, instead we chose to explore their backyard. Lots of lush greenery, alleyways full of interesting shapes and textures, and two silly-hearts in front of the camera….no need to get complicated.

Oh, and their cat, Cheshire, followed us all around…which was even more fun!
