tales from the thrift

Last week I did come thrifting around town with my friend Bre (she blogs too ! and you can check it out right here!) and I found some awesome treasures! We really just spent some time digging around at the Salvation Army, where I don’t normally find so much….until that day!

I have been on the hunt for the perfect denim (or “chambray”) shirt for a while but I just couldn’t bring myself to spend upwards of $40 for one so I just kept looking, but I do think I can handle paying $4 for one! yes I WOULD like to pay 1/10th the price please…and thank you.

Next up was a sweet (and bright!) red top …which I happen to be wearing right.now. how’s $1.50? …good!

Also, I got these black heels that have a definite 50′s vibe to them and fit me perfectly! I got to bring those babies home for $5!

Get ready, because here comes the winner.

an old school leather Coach cross-body bag for ……..$3!! yup….$3!

first of all. that bag looks pretty dang sweet with my new denim shirt…just sayin’

Secondly.. for under $20 I walked out with 2 shirts, 2 books, a sweet pair of heels, and an awesome leather bag!

…can’t beat that!

Happy thrifting!
