summer movie excitement!

Little known (okay maybe not) fact about me…I LOVE movies! I enjoy the whole movie experience, at a drive-in theater, a sit-in theater, or at home in front of my tv! Whenever I have a day that is totally free after a string of gruelingly busy, stress filled days, my favorite thing to do is go to redbox and get a whole stack! Great way to spend the day!

I love a really well-written, beautifully cinemographed, quirky movie any old time. There are a few movies coming out this summer that excite me so!

1. ruby sparks

Ruby Sparks…oh my this movie is going to be 2o different kinds of amazing.I adore Zoe Kazan and Paul Dano…so let’s just put them together! My goodness, I really feel like the trailer alone takes my breath away…so suffice it to say, it’s a must see. at the TOP of my list!

2. safety not guaranteed

Have I mentioned my love for Aubrey Plaza? Well..I love her.yup. She’s so strange, and sort of off-putting, but funny in a way that reminds you of your best friend…you know?

I’m excited to see her in a somewhat more serious role.Sure it’s a comedy, but it’s a dramatic comedy, and it looks fantastic!

3. the odd life of timothy green

so…..I love movies that are intended for children.

The two fully grown adults, unaccompanied by anyone under the age of 25, cracking up (or tearing up) at whatever silly Disney/Pixar movie that has just come out……yup that’s me and Matt.

This movie looks so beautiful, and fun, and sweet…..I can’t help myself….there’s a sappy little kid still alive in me!

4. damsels in distress

charming.charming.charming!

I’m not looking to get a whole lot out of this movie…but how cute does it look! The styling alone is a good enough reason for me to get excited….and then you tell me that my new favorite (Greta Gerwig of course!) is in it…sold!

5.moonrise kingdom

I shared with you last Monday that the trailer and stills form this Wes Anderson film have been inspiring me tremendously.

I CANNOT stop watching this trailer! It’s so strange, and engaging, and interesting.

So…even though I have already shared this, I can’t help but share it again!

6. brave

I told you that I love kid’s movies!… that darn Pixar has a way of sucking me right in!

7. lola versus

yes, Greta Gerwig again. She’s fantastic! I have been a fan since I saw her in Arthur.

But this movie looks smart, quirky, and well written….not to mention hilarious!

any of these movies exciting you this summer?

also, if you know of any movies that have already come out that might peak my interest please share because I am always looking for new movies to add to the old netflix que.  ;)
